In Luxembourg, the national accreditation authority is the Luxembourg Accreditation and Surveillance Office (OLAS). It is a signatory to the European (EA*) and international (IAF*) (ILAC*) mutual recognition agreements for all the areas for which it issues accreditations. It thus provides the organizations it accredits with this recognition in more than 80 countries, including France and Belgium (their accrediting organizations being respectively COFRAC and BELAC) with a view to promoting the free movement of their products and services.
The mutual recognition of OLAS accreditation means that our certificates are recognized by all the other signatories of these agreements, including COFRAC and BELAC.
OLAS accreditation is for us the formal recognition of our technical and organizational skills in performing calibration services.
